The path until "Zerrissen"

2022-present

Like a seed that’s been thriving, Dark Monument started from a feeling - a feeling of bitterness and despair.

In 2022, initial shards of Lyrics & Compositions by Manuel led to the group forging what eventually turned into their 13-minute-epos Sheol, which got recorded in a laboursome week in April/2023.

The finished Track served as a frame and so the picture had to be painted.

During Sheol’s Mixing & Mastering stages the band fortified their efforts on crafting their idea that was sparked and releasing their Debut-Single effectively flowed into the beginning of the Recording process for their Debut-Album. Zerrissen reflects the persistent spirit of Band & Producer to constantly outgrow themselves, pushing themselves to their limits not once but with an ambition to fulfill. It’s a craft of overcoming and realigning, a composed dealing with agony and ultimately a Debut-Album that by no means falls short of top-productions of its genre.
